User subscribing to the same mailing list again

Hello, OpenEMMers!

I'm facing a problem in our production environment right now. Whenever a user tries to subscribe to the same mailing list for the second time, OpenEMM gives back the success message from form. In our case, this can be a little confusing. We can solve it doing a select directly in OpenEMM's database before submitting the form to check if the email is already there, but a pure OpemEMM solution would be much more desirable. Is there a way to check if an email is already in database before subscribing it, or maybe configure the second subscription to be considered an error?
