Hello,

I manage an OpenEMM 2011 on an old server (Ubuntu 14.04) and want to upgrade it to a newer version.

What's the best option?

Option 1 : Upgrade my Ubunto 14.04->16.04->18.04->20.04 and try to upgrade OpenEMM (I'm afraid to lost dependency, etc)

Option 2 : Make a fresh install (CentOS 7 or 8 + OpenEmm 21.4 or 21.10) and try to import data from the old one ?

Unfortunately, you cannot simply migrate from OpenEMM 2011, only from OpenEMM 2019 or later.

Best way is to export and import your recipients and to copy the HTML of mailings and web forms manually. Beginning with OpenEMM 2019, these objects can be exported and imported as well.

Thank you for your answer.

Why do you propose to install OpenEMM 2019 and not the last one (21.4 or 21.10)?

I proposed "2019 or later". IMO, the latest stable is always the best. :-)
