Bounce Filter causing Please try again later

Post by jshap82551 » Fri Jun 25, 2021 4:40 pm

Hello,

Running Openemm 2013 on Redhat EL 4.0-64 Minimal for VSI with sendmail-milter-8.14.4-9.el6_8.1.x86_64. When we turn on the bounce filter, we see the below in the maillog and emails do not go out. When off everything works fine. I have read everything I can find but no luck on a fix. Can anyone help?

sendmail[23619]: 15PECWTY023619: Milter (bav): local socket name /home/openemm/var/run/bav.sock unsafe
sendmail[23619]: 15PECWTY023619: Milter (bav): to error state
sendmail[23619]: 15PECWTY023619: Milter: initialization failed, temp failing commands
sm-msp-queue[23815]: 00014800000000002: to=<example@gmail.com>, delay=00:00:37, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=90000, relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: 451 4.3.2 Please try again later

That makes no sense. I thought this was a community supported project? Should not matter the version when asking for help.

I answered you, because you addressed me. But I think that noone is still using this obsolete version.
