[un]subscribe form on webserver open emm in LAN

hello,

i recently try to figure out if it's possible to have a form for subscribing to our newsletter and maybe unsubscribing on our webserver. let's name him www.example.com
we want to setup openemm within our LAN. with have a static IP address. so is it possible to have all the public forms on a webserver and communicate in the background with our LAN server? i see no problems in sending a request to openemm.example.com:8080 which leads to our LAN open emm. but what will be on the way back?
