Remote MySQL Access on CentoOS Virtual Machine

Hi Everyone,
we originally install OpenEMM by installing CentoOS Virtual Machine: after upgrade we are now runnning OpenEMM 6.2
I have the need to access by a remote ODBC connection OpenEMM database.
Unfortunately when I set up a ODBC connection by using odbc_myswl_connector (driver 3.51) and I got error 10060 that means Can't connect to server". Doing a ping on CentOS virtual machine I don't see port 3306 open..
Any suggestion?
