the complete (?) way to stop and delete a running mailing:

1.) stop sendmail
2.) delete the mailing entry within openemm
3.) delete the generated files in /home/openemm/var/spool/QUEUE/
4.) restart openemm and sendmail

that seems to work. did you guys make any other experiences with stopping a running mailing?

Hello!

I am using OpenEMM 2011 and I need to do exactly the same thing you did (5 years ago :S). I'm not following you when you mention "mailing entry". Can you tell me where I can find my mailing entry on OpenEMM 2011? Or should I follow other steps?

Thank you so much! Blessings!

You should not only delete the files in directory /home/openemm/var/spool/QUEUE (holding the mails generated by xmlback), but also the files in directory /home/openemm/var/spool/META (holding compressed XML packages which are forwarded by pickdist.py to xmlback). Before deleting the files you should stop OpenEMM first.
