Post by hnram96 »

Hi

My every mailer stops sending mail after sending 10,002 mails. Infact i am trying to send 25,000 mailer at once. It generats 25,000 in 5 Min and it send 10002 mails in other 10 min. but its stops after that.

First it sends 5001 then another 5001... then it stops sending any more mails. It happens on each and every mailer.

I am using OpenEMM 5.5.1 on VmWare with dual xeon 3.0 GHz processers IBM server and also alloted 1GB RAM for this Vmware.

following is the output of top command (system resource usgae).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
top - 09:39:37 up 26 min, 2 users, load average: 0.18, 0.08, 0.10
Tasks: 98 total, 1 running, 97 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
Cpu(s): 1.1%us, 3.5%sy, 0.0%ni, 93.1%id, 2.1%wa, 0.1%hi, 0.2%si, 0.0%st
Mem: 1035276k total, 336396k used, 698880k free, 15300k buffers
Swap: 1052248k total, 0k used, 1052248k free, 160856k cached

Is their any limitations in sending no of mails? Please help me on this.

There is no limitation. OpenEMM sends out mails in blocks of 5,000 each.

Hi there,

I have the same problem too last time, it's stopped at 10003 e-mails. I'm not too sure why. The first 10000 was sent in 15 minutes (reasonably quick), but then it gets stuck :(

I tried to diagnose the problem by issuing the following command:

tail -f /home/openemm/var/spool/log/extbounce.log

The output is, that I get a lot of "deferred" e-mails to Yahoo, Hotmail and so on. I'm not sure whether this is the real problem, but I'm sure ma can tell us :)

Appreciate your help, ma!

Hmmmm.. I don't want to be pushing your buttons, but isn't there any sort of explanation for this problem?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!
