Send Mailing tab: bad phrases

Post by Dabbler »

After sending a mail, a number of small problems appear in the phrasings under the "Send Mailing" tab.

Under the "Send Mailing" subhead:
1 - "This mailing was allready sent." has spelling and grammar problems.
Should read: "This mailing was sent already." or "This mailing has been sent already." or perhaps "Mailing sent: date/time stamp"

2 - "You can send test versions of this mailing again ,e.g. for archive purposes."
Misplaced space/comma(s).
Should read: "You can send test versions of this mailing again, e.g., for archive purposes."

3 - "For safety reasons, another sending of this mailing to all recipients is not allowed."
Awkward grammar.
"For safety reasons, sending this mailing to all recipients again is not allowed."
Or perhaps:
"Security rules prevent this mailing from being sent to all recipients again.

Under "Distribution Status" subhead:
1 - "This mailing has allready been sent."
Should read: "This mailing was sent already."
And even so, it is redundant because the same thing is displayed under the "Send Mailing" subhead.

2 - "Last delivery: Aug 1, 2007 2:00 PM, final delivery to all recipients"
Based on the timestamp which corresponds to the end of the e-mail generations, I believe you mean something like:
"Last E-mail Generated: Aug 1, 2007 2:00 PM"

However, if you are indeed referring to the "delivery" phase, than the datetime stamp is wrong.

3 - "50000 out of 50000 E-Mails have been generated"
This would be better placed in the next sub-sub-heading: "Generation".

It would look like this:
Generation:
Generation start time: Aug 1, 2007 1:58 PM
Generation End Time: Aug 1, 2007 2:00 PM
50000 out of 50000 E-Mails have been generated
4 - "start time" and "End Time" -- capitalization inconsistency
This is found in both the "Generation" and "Delivery" sub-sub-headings.
Use consistent capitalization.
