Quoted-printable headers OpenEMM 2011 vs OpenEMM 2015R2

Post by equalizer »

We have a strange problem when using german umlauts in the senders from name on different OpenEMM versions.

Let's say the senders name is Jürgen Lastname.

It translates to quoted-printables in the following way:

OpenEMM 2011
From: =?UTF-8?Q?J=C3=BCrgen_Lastname?= <email@domain.com>

OpenEMM 2015R2
From: =?UTF-8?Q?"J=C3=BCrgen_Lastname"?= <email@domain.com>

Outlook (different Versions) displays the mail sent with OpenEMM 2011 correctly.

The mail sent with OpenEMM 2015R2 is displayed in Outlook (different Versions) with an additional whitespace in front of the senders name.
The senders name gets indented one character what looks very irritating to the receiver.

Is this a bug in OpenEMM 2015R2 or a specific Outlook problem?
