Invalid Link on Send Mailing page

Post by villanova » Fri Nov 11, 2011 1:18 pm

When I go the send mailing page, I get "Invalid Link"for all URL's in the mailing.

I even created a simple mailing with just a single link, no agn tags, and I still get the error.

eg.
"This is an HTML email <a href="http://www.openemm.org/">TEST</a>"

All the links are correctly displayed on the Trackable links page

I'm guessing there is some validation that happens when I click the send mailing page, thats failing, but I can't see any errors in the error logs.

Any thoughts, or suggestions where to look to see whats going wrong?

Richard.

Im running on.
CentOS 6 64bit, and am using OpenEMM 2011 having upgraded from 6.0.1, and have applied all the necessary db upgrade scripts.

If OpenEMM runs into a timeout when trying to validate a link the link will be labeled as invalid as well.

How are the links validated, does OpenEMM try to connect to the link to check it exists? Our OpenEMM server runs in the DMZ with no internet access. Would this cause the links to be invalidated? If so is it possible to switch this behaviour off?

Thanks Richard.

There is an (undocumented) permission called "mailing.linkcheck.deactivate". If you activate this permission in the database via

Code: Select all

INSERT INTO `admin_group_permission_tbl` (`admin_group_id`, `security_token`) VALUES (4, 'mailing.linkcheck.deactivate');
the link checker will be disabled (after restarting OpenEMM).
