[SOLVED] OS update causes OpenEMM 6.2 "hanging"

Hi,

We have an OpenEMM problem that is maybe attributable to a resent OS update of our server.

Running OpenEMM 6.2 on a Gentoo Linux we never had any major issues. However, after the last OS update, OpenEMM consumes so many system resources when sending an email newsletter that the complete server comes to a standstill. Even shell access is not possible any longer. Only a hard-reset of the server will allow us to access the maschine again.

The OS update installed the following packages / module versions:
readline-6.1_p2
coreutils-8.7
gcc-4.4.5
busybox-1.17.4
openrc-0.8.2-r1
shadow-4.1.4.3
sun-jre-bin-1.6.0.26
sun-jdk-1.6.0.26
argparse-1.2.1
vim-core-7.3.189
vim-7.3.189
emacs-23.3
lm_sensors-3.2.0
aide-0.14.2
mlocate-0.23.1-r1
gentoolkit-0.3.0.4
genkernel-3.4.10.907-r1
gentoo-sources-2.6.38-r6 (Kernelupdate)
Maybe someone from the developer community knows of any issues with the installaed packages / versions or another reason why OpenEMM "takes over the server".

Thank you for your support.

Best Regards
Markus

We found the issue to be a file system error.
We restored the backup on a new harddrive and everything works again.

Thanks
