Support dynamically generated content (custom tags)

Post by bk007 »

The templating functionality in OpenEMM seems quite limited. For example, it's not possible to create a custom tag. This would be useful if I wanted to add a tag like [custom_data city="Chicago"] which would run a system command, or Java-backed code, etc to render content.

Additionally, it's not possible to do basic if/then logic in emails.

One *awesome* solution for this would be to support Velocity templates for email body generation.
