OS Dependancy

Post by mokarram » Thu Jan 19, 2012 11:58 pm

I think that it would be a good idea to focus the documentation and installation steps on one operating system that is freely availible and powerfull enough to manage OpenEMMs needs. In my opinion tying down the documentaion and software to one coherent baseline would clarify greatly the installation and evaulation of your product. The easier the installation, the greater the product penetration. Make it less functinal if you have to but easier to install and manage. I assure your that I would have clients willing to pay if that were the case.

For now, my main suggestion to you is to make CENTOS your baseline OS and document OpenEMM 2012 solely on this OS eliminating a lot of the guess work that is required to get the platform up and running.

Having said that I congradulate you on great idea and its subsequent implementation.

Well done!
