Most generous opt-out "1 click" configuration?

Post by jeffwsi »

Hello,

I have read the manual on how to configure opt-out in a text mailing.

Is it possible to configure the opt-out function of a mailing so the recipient needs to only click the link and not interact with the Openemm server?

I want to be extremely respectful to recipients and should someone want to opt-out that they would only need to click a single link in the mailing body and not have to perform additional click actions, double opt-outs or forms on the OpenEMM server. I would be happy if when a recipient clicked the opt-out link they would see a confirmation of the successful opt-out.

Thanks!

hi Jeff,

yes, there is a method you could do this.

It's very simple.

- At first create a new action and use the step "unsubscribe".
Take care that this action is avaliable for links.

- Then build an unsubscribe-confirmation-site (on your
website or as a form in OpenEMM) and use the URL in your
newsletter.

- Go to the link measurement and choose your "unsubscribe-link"
select the new action.

That's all. Try it!

If there are some problems please ask me.

you have to adjust the redirect domain in table company_tbl of the OpenEMM database. Please see install guide for details.
