installing openemm 2019 not working on centos

Same result with the latest runtime version 19.10.009.010. The runtime script is independent from the version of the frontend and backend. Since you insist that the problem is on our side and I run out of ideas I will hereby end this thread.

i appriciate your help to get the dbcfg configured and to get OpenEMM 2019 running.

The Wiki asked us users to contribute feedback and questions to improve the documentation,
installation, configuration and administration of OpenEMM.

I followed the installation guide and the python script seems to fail (OpenEMMInstaller.py).

Could you please add some Informations to the wiki and the next Install & Admin Guide?

I`d like to find more information how to configure dbcfg manually?
Can you add the required steps to add the user to mariadb and create the empy content database?

I will wait for the next release (runtime and Admin Guide), maybe my detailed install log will be of any help then..

Hello again,

i took a copy of some files from OpenEMM-19.04.000.459 OVA .
From /home/openemm/tomcat/bin/* … i copied these files !

emm.sh
emm.sh.additional.properties
make-memory-dump-cron-wrapper.sh
make-memory-dump.sh
make-thread-dump.sh
openemm.sh
OpenEMMInstaller.py
OpenEMMInstaller.sh
setenv.sh
single-shot-thread-dump.sh
tempcleaner.sh

I moved these files to the clean CentOS 7 Installation where i extracted openemm-runtime-19.10.009.010.tar.gz before.
And where the latest Release didn´t work at all.

Here i copied these old files into /home/openemm/tomcat/bin/ replacing the indepent script files ...

The /home/openemm/bin/OpenEmmInstaller.sh works.

Please try to upgrade all packages with the update menu.

This will update all module (installer, frontend, backend, etc).

Once you have your first runtime installed, you should use the OpenEMMInstaller for any updates: It is much more convenient and it always gives you access to the latest releases.
