installation problem....

Post by craigad » Wed Aug 30, 2006 3:29 pm

Not sure if I am going blind or not but................

At step 6 in the installation instructions, I cannot see an instruction that kicks off the install when following the tarball instructions.

the following work ok...........

cd /home/openemm
tar xzvf /tmp/OpenEMM-5.0.binary.tar.gz
chown -R openemm:openemm .bash* *

but then I get the message: 'no such file or directory' from the command :

chown root:root bin/smctrl

so what am I missing????

all help appreciated!

Hi craigad,

the tar command is the installation. It should extract the tar archiv into the "/home/openemm" directory.

Do you have any files in the "/home/openemm/" directory ?

best regards
