VMX and bav permisions?

Post by hvisage »

Hi there,

I don't believe I've missed a step in the VMX setup and installation, but I keep seeing these messages in /var/log/maillog:

May 25 10:53:05 **server** sendmail[11299]: r4P8r5fM011299: Milter (bav): error connecting to filter: Permission denied
May 25 10:53:05 **server** sendmail[11299]: r4P8r5fM011299: Milter (bav): to error state
May 25 10:53:05 **server** sendmail[11299]: r4P8r5fM011299: Milter: initialization failed, temp failing commands

The questions of course is which file permissions needs to be checked?
How do I enable trace/debugging for bav to track this?

The solution I've found, though I would've expected the VMx to have this fixed before being published:

vi /etc/selinux/conf
and change the line to:
SELINUX=disabled

save and reboot, and then the bav bounces gets picked up :)

Thanks for your notification! We will look into this issue and republish the VMX version if we can reproduce what you have written.
