Installation Of OpenEMM On Windows Machine

I have just installed OpenEMM on a windows machine I am using OpenEMM version 2013 I am using tomcat 6.
I copied the files from C:\openemm\webapps\openemm to c:\tomcat6\webapps\ROOT\
This got the installation to work. I can now view the OpenEMM from the http://localhost:8080 location. However my mails will not send. I check my mailloop variable and its set to mail.mydomain.com (its valid) I am using the internal smtp that comes with OpenEMM
No mail will send. What can I be doing wrong?
