Sending mail Not working (Windows XP)

HI guys I have looked for a solution but came up short I have wiped the MYSQL Clean and Reinstalled Re-Downloaded the EMM 2011 and also Removed and re-Downloaded tomcat and still having issues When i try sending my email to a test user or an admin user is says it has been sent but nothing shows up i have looked in the logs and cannot see any errors I have also created a new mailing list and added myself as a normal user and tried sending the same email but still no luck tomcat command propt keep coming up with hibernating:mailing list don't know if this is causing any issues MY computer had 2.5GB of ram and nothing else is running it is also causes memory leaks on the termination any help would be great
