Yahoo! e-mails get stat=deferred

Post by johannes_77 »

Hello everybody,

I have sent out a newsletter to about 25K subscribers 4 days ago. Now the mailing is still not findished. The maillog shows one entry per second, all on yahoo adresses! They look like this:

Mar 29 19:00:08 sendmail[28967]: 00000B0000000676E: to=<xxxxxxxx@yahoo.de>, delay=3+23:45:16, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=75330000, relay=c.mx.mail.yahoo.com., dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred

What does this mean, and how can I fix this?

Thank you for any help!

Need to talk to Yahoo

Yahoo SPAN Guard algorithm's probably will be considering your mails as SPAM given the number of e-mail reaching yahoo's mail servers, hence blocking for the first time. Yahoo advises to try after 4-5 hours again.

However as a permanent solution you should get in touch with yahoo to add your mail server to it's white list so that it can accept your e-mails. Fill up the appropriate form from the link below:
