update of wiki

Since we published OpenEMM 5.3 today, I will update the wiki (including a complete rewrite of the bounce management chapter) tomorrow.

A virtual server is not a problem, but you must have root access.

1&1

It depends! Do you operate a root server? What operating system and version are you using?

closing tag missing

At first look it seems to be ok except for a missing </font> tag - and maybe some more missing tags, did not check everything.

Therefore, could you please first try again with validated HTML code? Maybe this confuses the OpenEMM parser. Thanks!

activate mailing first

As soon as you activate the actionbased/action-based/action based mailing in tab "send mailing" it is available for the action listbox to select.

please put docs in wiki

I would prefer if you use the OpenEMM Wiki (http://www.openemm.org/wiki/OpenEMM_Wiki_Home) for this kind of documentation and simply provide a link to the Wiki page in this forum. This will make it easier to find for other users. Thank you!

Tomcat vs. Resin

We are working on this. Problem is that servlet engine Resin and Tomcat do interpret some custom tags used in JSP pages slightly differently so that we would have to recode the tag classes (which could cause problems with Resin). Any insights welcome!

When in doubt text is more relevant than screenshot content. Could you please list the misleading screenshots so that we can replace them?

Thank you!

What operating system do you use for OpenEMM?

The development team of OpenEMM would like to get an indication of which operating system you are using, so that we know on which platforms to focus. Please specify as exactly as possible, for example "RedHat Enterprise Linux 4.5" or "Windows XP Professional SP2". Thank you!
