We have been with Bytemark for a while.
Good service, and you get real servers with root access. We run OpenEMM on an Ubuntu 8.10 Virtual Machine. It is fine for our needs.

pthandler we should definitely talk! What with your ideas for user stats and now vtiger too. These are two areas we are also looking to deal with. I took a quick look at the soap api for OpenEMM but it seems to be rather limited in that you can't retrieve blocks of details, just one record at a a ti...

When you set up OpenEMM you are instructed to alter a line in the SQL file: If you plan to use the redirect features of OpenEMM, open file openemm.sql with a text editor like edit or vim, and find and replace the string http://localhost:8080 with a valid redirection URL. If you have already installe...

Could you please post such an URL here so that we are sure what you mean? Sure. Here you go: http://myopenemm.server.com/r.html?uid=1.f.oo.4a.80e7txb5ea We think the quantity of dots after the uid= might be affecting Thunderbird's spam filter. Other mailers we notice tend to use a UUID type string ...

I did it a bit differently. I didn't want every click event. To get link tracked customers for a particular mailing I use this query: SELECT customer_1_tbl.firstname, customer_1_tbl.lastname, customer_1_tbl.email, rdir_log_tbl.change_date, rdir_log_tbl.url_id, rdir_url_tbl.full_url FROM rdir_log_tbl...

Trackable Links in mailling not cleaned
If you are working on a mailing and make frequent edits and changes before completing it, the table of Trackable links doesn't clean itself of the links that are no longer present in the mailing itself. These spurious links also appear to carry over if you copy a mailing. The only way to remove them...

Tracking url syntax.
Hi,
when openemm creates a tracking url, the unique id at the end contains many "."s (full stops).
Thunderbird doesn't like dots in the url and will generally flag it as spam. Does the tracking url really need to contains dots?

I noticed that the error reporting back from OpenEMM is not very verbose . There also didn't seem to be away to get much information back ...
