Bye, bye, openEMM

So, after trying to set up openEMM for weeks, we'll stop doing so. Just in case some product manager might be interested in getting feedback: - The installation just doesn't work from the start. It's the opposite of plug and play - The support is very expensive at 150 EUR / hr and a minimum support ...

Hello Juergen,
I sent you a PM via this forum. Can you check it?

Installation (from .ova) does not work.

Hi, we're looking for somebody to help me troubleshooting our openEMM installation (within a VMWare). We've got it running finally, but I can't get it sending out mails. It might be minor detail, but I don't know, of course. I am fine to pay for your help (but the Agnitas support with 150 EUR/hrs is...

Hi,
is there anybody who could help us for money to set up openEMM?
We're in Germany, but English help is welcome also.

Re: Following install guide results in backend not installed

Installation is a nightmare, but I still hope we'll be happy afterwards.

I think the numbers of users would increase incredibly,
if you could make the installation process easier!

OpenEMM is by far the best free mailing software,
but the installation is falling behind.

Re: SMTP Login (User, Password, etc.)

Hi, we use ESXi 6.7 The OVA contains CentOS and thus you'll run "postfix". But it's puzzling me, where/how to set up which servers are being used to send out / collect mails. To my understanding: We run openEMM locally, so I'd use the online facilities of our domain hosting company to send...

Re: SMTP Loing (User, Password, etc.)

Hi Ray,
yes, exactly. The newest OVA does work fine now, but the
setup process is not really meant for Linux newbies.

How to configure SMTP-Login (User, Password, etc.)?

Hi, we have installed the new .OVA file (thanks for setting it up) and I understand now that we're "facing" postifx being used in CentOS as MTA Now, where do we set up the server which is accepting the mails? In our case we want our local openEMM to send all mails via Domainfactory and thu...

Several email-Adresses in mail field (CSV import)

Hello, our ERP software is a bit stupid, so whenever the customer has TWO main emailadresses, we enter it into the same line, e.g. firstmail@adress.com, secondmail@adress.com However, the import process reports an error and won't send email to these adresses. Is there a way around this problem? Best...

Re: OVA File does not work in ESXi

Hello, yes, we tried that *also*, but we run into several errors, the first one for example is this: [root@myopenemm ~]# python3 -m pip install mysqlclient WARNING: Running pip install with root privileges is generally not a good idea. Try `__main__.py install --user` instead. Collecting mysqlclient...
