Re: Installation OpenSuSE Tumbleweed - 23.04 Problems

So I tried and it was a small success, because it can configure the database without crash and connect to create a new database. But the database is still empty, so every other point trying to write vales to the DB will fail.

Re: Installation OpenSuSE Tumbleweed - 23.04 Problems

I did download and restartet. But I'm not sure if it really helps. I got the first installation menu ./OMT.sh Checking python installation ... Python version found: 3.11.5 (/usr/bin/python3) Checking Zip installation ... Zip version 3.0 found Starting python ... Do you want to activate a TLS certifi...

Re: Installation OpenSuSE Tumbleweed - 23.04 Problems

I went one step back, because I realized, that the config tool tris to connect to the DB and doesn't get a connection. So step1 - trying to setup the DB (blank installation) ================================================= = OpenEMM Maintenance Tool (OMT) v23.04.000.205 = ==========================...

Re: runtime 23.04.024 , 23.04.000.205 AND 23.04.000.213 are messed up

How you get the version 23.04.04 - or in common - how can you download one special version? I only have the chance to download from the link, no repository to select a special version? Yes, 23.04.000.205 is buggy with the URL. Where are the config files placed and can you post examples (mask the val...

Installation OpenSuSE Tumbleweed - 23.04 Problems

Hi all, I got some issues with the fresh installation of 23.04 on OpenSuSE Tumbleweed. Some I could resolve: - Installation of additional packages even with ignoring of some dependencies (wkhtmltopdf, mariadb-connector-python3 for example) - Adding the mariadb as dbms in the dbcfg file to avoid a cr...

Re: OpenEMM 2019 on openSuSE Tumbleweed?

OK, so as a (maybe) last message in this topic: I was cheating with the library, copying the /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so.1.0.2k from a Centos test installation to my server as /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so.10 and now most functions are working - I'm able to send mailings - The preview is also working (was sho...

Re: OpenEMM 2019 on openSuSE Tumbleweed?

Ok, so now I got a little progress. First I realized that the problem with missing MTA is the call to postconf. Without path you get at SuSE the remark "The absolute path ist /usr/sbin/postconf. So you probably need superuser privileges" - with an exitcode 127. When replacing the call in O...

Re: OpenEMM 2019 on openSuSE Tumbleweed?

Hello maschoff you are right. I misunderstood the options y/N, cancel when coming to the upgrade/install menu. For me No and cancel was the same. Instead it means N is skip this point and then I came to the rest. So now database is configured, frontend is there and I can login. So nex...

Re: OpenEMM 2019 on openSuSE Tumbleweed?

Hello maschoff ignore is not that easy, because next line is a sys.exit(1), I had to delete that line to make it work. Yes the mailserver is up and running, I send and receive emails. The Installer with menu status says: ========================== = OpenEMM Installer v2.2 = =========================...

Re: OpenEMM 2019 on openSuSE Tumbleweed?

Hi Maschoff so now I installed packages, configured as much as I could, ignored the openemm-Installer and started /usr/bin/python "./OpenEMMInstaller.py" manually. With the configurator I could define all setups for setenv.sh, cfgdb and emm.additional.properties. But thats it. The database...

OpenEMM 2019 on openSuSE Tumbleweed?

Hello OpenEMM Admins :D In the post "Install OpenEMM 2019 on Debian" you mention, that a SuSE Installation is possible (at least from the developers own tests). Can I have a instruction document - or at least some hints, because the installer scripts does (obviously) not work and some pack...
