Hi!
I'm new to openemm, but being an IT engineer, i thought it would be easy to install and get running. Well, everything works except... It doesn't seem to be sending out any mails!
The only track of mistakes i found was in C:\OpenEMM\var\spool
for example, in C:\OpenEMM\var\spool\ADMIN, I get either this error

M[421] Cannot connect to SMTP server 74.125.53.27 (74.125.53.27:25), connect error 10060

For the setup, i didn't really get what i should put in the redirection domain, neither what i should put in cms.properties in cms.ccr.url. For the moment I used http://my_machine_name for both of these things, and I don't know if that's impeaching the sending, but i don't think so. Frankly I can't point out what my mistake is, or what i'm doing wrong or missing, and i couldn' t find any help anywhere.

So, pleaaaaaase hellppppp!

Did you end up solving your problem determining your redirection domain. I'm having the same issues as you.

Don't know if you're still having problems sending emails but...
This refers to the "Cannot connect to SMTP server" error.
I had this problem with an install on Windows XP and it turned out to be a Port 25 blocking problem. I have AT&T Business DSL and could not get any email to send with OpenEMM. After numerous tests, everything pointed to Port 25 being blocked but the port was supposed to be open on Business DSL. After calling the AT&T Help line over a period of months and being told repeatedly that Port 25 was not blocked, I finally called and insisted that Port 25 was blocked and asked the person to double check after he gave me the "Port 25 is not blocked on Business DSL" response. He checked and told me "Oh, Port 25 was blocked but it isn't suppose to be, but it's definitely unblocked now". I go off the phone, sent a test, received it within seconds and have been sending emails (25,000 at one time) with no problem for about 3 months.

I had the exact same problem, exact same config - in Mozilla, try going to Tools/Account Settings/Outgoing Server (SMTP), choosing 'Edit' and checking the "Security and Authentication" box and entering your username - this solved the problem for me
