It is not a matter of money, but a matter of religion!
No, honestly, we would have no problem if someone replaces sendmail with postfix and we would put that change into the mainline. But we do not know postfix and we do not have the time to learn it and integrate it.
So, I would suggest that someone from the OpenEMM community who knows postfix well tackles this issue. And if there are technical questions in the process regarding OpenEMM code we would be glad to answer them.
I'm ready to help... I have dev skills and Postfix skills I'm the founder of this project : http://www.artica.fr has the Postfix administration main interface in ajax Currently our latest nightly build include OpenEMM support for both automatic installation /watchdog But we need a real Postfix support... How to proceed ??
Funder of Artica Open source project http://www.artica.fr Open Linux for Newbee....
My suggestion is JAMES: http://james.apache.org/ ... and get rid of sendmail and python smtp proxy, making OpenEMM really portable. We could even run OpenEMM and MTA in the same JVM.
I will not vote on this for you're asking for wrong answers:)
